The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing aims to provide learners with an introduction to the key concepts and principles of services marketing as they apply to the hospitality, travel and tourism industries.

This broad-based qualification, designed with an international focus, addresses differences between the hospitality, travel and tourism and other industries and provides learners with practical and operational marketing skills for junior or supporting roles in marketing or supervisory management in all sectors of the rapidly expanding international visitor economy.

There are three units in the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing:
- Marketing and Consumer Behaviour (double unit)
- Hospitality and Services Marketing
- Tourist Motivation and Behaviour

Delivery Format

SPA Professional Academy deliver this course through either full or half day modules:
- Marketing and Consumer Behaviour (eight one day or sixteen half day input workshops, including tutorials)
- Hospitality and Services Marketing (six one day or twelve half day input workshops, including tutorials)
- Tourism Behaviour and Motivation (six one day or twelve half day input workshops, including tutorials)

Each full day lasts 6 - 7 hours

Assessment Method:

Work based assignment for each unit

Materials Provided:

Core marketing text
Course manual for each subject
Audio Podcast of workshops available after each session
